I am a little late posting this, because Easter was, well yesterday, but this was my facebook status yesterday and  I thought this message was important to share across other platforms. I was thinking a lot about how to address yesterday, because I don’t have kids – so there’s no Easter Bunny – and I also see the world from different angles. But that doesn’t take away from Easter being a very important holiday to a lot of people for many different reasons. For me – I’ve been very introspective lately as people close to me are having end of…

Hey hey! so – today is Valentines Day, or Galentines Day, or Tuesday. Potato, potatoe. AMIRIGHT? Love is a very liberal term. Being in love, falling in love, feeling love, feeling lust, feeling power – it’s all relative. You can have romantic love, friendship love, pet love – it all fills your soul and that’s what love is supposed to do for us. Full disclosure – I am watching the Bachelor while writing this. It’s the most ridiculous show ever. It’s a nice reminder of all of the craziness one must go through when finding a life partner. I think…

HELLO! So I’m really glad to hear that everyone has a very similar sentiment regarding 2016 as I do – It was a challenge and seemed like the Universe was always trying to kick us while we’re down. We’re so all in this together! To be fair, I knew the beginning of 2016 was going to be rough, but I got lucky and made it through. I’ve definitely let my dedication to health and working out slip through the cracks (I’m blaming my knee injury and a few other things) but I feel like things are on the way up,…

HAPPY NEW YEAR’S EVE! In many ways, this is one of my favorite holidays of the year. I love it because it forces us to do an internal audit – and challenge ourselves to claim responsibility for our lives, and decide to make a change. Or not! Whatever floats your boat. I personally like to set tangible, achievable goals for myself, and I typically write about them here. You can go back in the archives and see I’ve written about New Year’s Eve every year since I’ve started this blog. And here it is – NYE, 2015 and I have…

What else do you need to know? Jan 6 – I resolve to learn more about wine AND RECORD IT. File this under the “Learning Experiments” Tab. I should start a separate tab for this. *Mental Note* For example, tonight I have a lovely bottle of Dona Paula Malbec, from Mendoza, Argentina. Dave, the bar manager here at the lovely establishment where I work (not mentioning names – if you know me, you know where I work!) http://www.wine.com/v6/wineshop/Detail.aspx?product_id=107530&state=ME It got 91 points (out of 100) from Wine Spectator, and it’s sold out. I’ll let you know how it goes.

I break tradition, sometimes my tries, are outside the lines We’ve been conditioned to not make mistakes, but I can’t live that way Staring at the blank page before you Open up the dirty window Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find Reaching for something in the distance So close you can almost taste it Release your inhibitions Feel the rain on your skin No one else can feel it for you Only you can let it in No one else, no one else Can speak the words on your lips Drench yourself in words unspoken…
