Life is bigger It’s bigger And you, you are not me The lengths that I will go to The distance in your eyes Oh no, I’ve said too much I set it up Dear Self – You’re taking on a lot right now. You’re confident in your actions. You’re moving in the right direction. You’ve  made decisions. and you’re sticking with them  – it’s the only way to make a change. You must keep making plans, evaluating and changing them, and continuing to make decisions. They are not always the right ones.  It’s going to get tough, you’re going to…

Some days you’re the bird – some days you’re the windshield. I’ve been feeling a bit stuck lately, and looking more and more for meaning + purpose in my day to day life. I was searching for the right words this morning and I came across this article + I had to share…. Here’s a link to the original article on Elephant Journal “Be miserable. Or motivate yourself. Whatever has to be done, it’s always your choice.” ~ Dr. Wayne W. Dyer “There are two primary choices in life: to accept conditions as they exist, or accept the responsibility for changing…

Welcome back to the work week – if you’re working that M-F grind. Mondays I always feel a little nostalgic for the weekend + am planning my carry over from the previous weekends “Crap I didn’t get that done!” I am always a fan of the #MondayMotivation to get back on track + realize that I am not the only one that feels like a hot mess! I got some good feedback from my Dalai Lama and MLK quote posts, so I thought a Buddha quote post was needed. Check it out + share it with someone that needs it :)…

We’ve been having a lot of discussions about effective communication in our workplace this month. I think it’s important to have that discussion in general, in all aspects of your life and your interpersonal relationships – to check in and make sure you are getting the most out of your time here on this planet. It doesn’t always go so well – because understanding people’s love languages + personalities is something that is very difficult to understand- however with a little love + understanding, these are things that can be overcome. Me personally, I am a people pleaser, a keeper…

I am a little late posting this, because Easter was, well yesterday, but this was my facebook status yesterday and  I thought this message was important to share across other platforms. I was thinking a lot about how to address yesterday, because I don’t have kids – so there’s no Easter Bunny – and I also see the world from different angles. But that doesn’t take away from Easter being a very important holiday to a lot of people for many different reasons. For me – I’ve been very introspective lately as people close to me are having end of…

It’s been a relatively heavy week in our community – the suicide of a local weatherman has devastated a lot of people. Happiness and relative happiness is something I think about often – and how other people treat you and how you treat yourself can have impact that cuts so deep. I recently started watching 13 Reasons Why on Netflix – it’s a beautiful, haunting piece of art that tells the story of a teenage girl’s suicide and the experiences that lead her down this path. If you have known me for a while, you’re aware that my life has…

So – it’s April. in Maine, spring has sprung, and that means 3 months ish till summer. Fortunately, 3 months is JUST enough time to start burning off all of your winter indiscretions. I’m back on the no drinking during the week bandwagon, and I’ve finally bit the bullet and joined a CrossFit gym, because I cannot be trusted. (Side note – this motivates me – just do what motivates you! but whatever you do – just do something 🙂  For the record – I’ve participated + enjoyed ALL of these trainers/gyms and  I recommend them highly – Union Street…

We welcomed Hogwart’s Newest Student with a DIY Harry Potter Baby Shower! Witchcraft and wizardry were abound on this fatefully glorious day filled with love and welcoming for Baby “Wizard” Conor. As guests arrived to Platform 9 ¾, they were sorted appropriately and given their wand. An obvious right of passage for any young wizard. From floating candles in the “dining hall” to greeting for Myrtle, guests were surprised at every corner! Games included baby bingo and late-night diapers (hysterical). And to top it all off, Honeydukes was in business with a full candy bar! Beware of the every flavour…

YO YO YO! I’ve kind of been slacking on the deep thoughts the past few weeks, but trust me – I’ve had LOTS of deep thoughts. Get ready, because they are coming your way soon. In the meantime,  I came across this article today, and I thought it was worth sharing. Here are 10 habits to improve your life. Life is precious and fleeting, and the problem is, we always think we have time. This year has been kind of an existential crisis for me, and I am slowly realizing that time, and my body, will not afford me the…
