Hey guys! I am writing about Native Deodorant, a product that I’ve been using for over a year and I honestly couldn’t say enough nice things about it. I was a skeptic for sure about natural deodorant and I’ve tried brands in the past that just didn’t cut it. As you might know from LoveMaineAdventures.com, I get sweaty – a lot. This deodorant has passed every test I’ve put it through. If you’re really super aggressively dirty, you should probably plan to reapply, but otherwise, after many months of wearing it, I can rarely ever smell myself 🙂 For the…

Yo! I am sitting here recovering from the Tough Mountain Challenge (don’t know what that is? Check it out here..) and I wanted to share with you something that has been a lifesaver for me as I beat myself up. I first learned about this stuff because it was part of my Yogi Surprise Box – a monthly subscription box that has all sorts of amazing awesomeness. If you’re into organic mind/body care, this is your thing. Check it out here and if you decided to subscribe, use my referral code! It’s pretty stellar. Anyways  – back to the topic…

You know I love a good book review! I discovered this book when my friend Jodi posted an assortment of books available at one of my favorite stores in Downtown Bangor – Good Soul! I arranged a time to come down and check out the selection with my dear friend & shop owner, Tracy. Tracy has a heart of gold, and a wild, caring, wonderful soul. We connect on so many levels! Anyways, I didn’t end up with the book that Jodi posted, but I did end up with an amazing journal of self reflection! (and the book The Secret…

Ok – so this topic was easy to determine, because I am home sick today, and this product has SAVED MY LIFE over the past year or so, when I found out about it. I grew up in Florida, and I never suffered from allergies until the summer of 2015. And then they were BRUTAL. I was waking up every morning and had to deal with whatever nastiness my body wanted to develop overnight. It got so bad that I had to use an inhaler when hiking! So glamorous. I went to see a few different docs, to have a…

Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes was a fantastic read and you should definitely buy it. Read more below 🙂

There’s truly NOTHING I enjoy more in my life than flying, reading a book, and having a glass or two of wine. It’s the only time I can truly detach, and get lost in another world. That being said, there’s nothing WORSE than being stuck on a plane with a crappy book. I love books that are inspiring and adventurous, that make me feel like I want to run a marathon and be the best version…

22 Life-Changing Lessons From “The Motivation Manifesto” 1. “We are not slave to our history. We can be freed by our conscious thoughts and disciplined habits.” 2. “If we are not vigilant, being around constant worry can quickly limit who we are and what we might be capable of.” 3. “If yesterday’s hardships are stealing our aliveness today then we must seek another level of consciousness.” 4. “What can I focus on in my life this exact moment to sense some peace, gratitude, or enthusiasm?” 5. “Am I feeling this life?” 6. “Avoidance is the best long-term strategy to ensure…

Powdered Peanut Butter I have been trying to find some new, fun, high protein, low carb and calorie, natural, food choices to add into my daily routine. I am attempting to stick with my macros based diet,  even though I’ve been struggling to get back into the gym. (After March 1 though, gym is a priority.) I have had powdered peanut butter before, I use it in my protein shakes sometimes, but I really don’t eat peanut butter, or like peanut butter all that much on its own, with the exception of Ants on a Log. Best snack ever. So…

Wow what a crazy productive  weekend!   I did everything and nothing  at the same time.  Friday night, I went bowling with my work crew. Good times.  I love bowking, it’s probably ,you favorite team building activity! Saturday and Sunday I didn’t change out of my pjs. I edited another album for my bride,  and Matt and I cleaned the entire first floor. You know all that organizing and throwing things away you put off? Well we made it happen. Then we made  an amazing dinner and Matt watched football while one of my friends  came over and drank  wine with…
