I break tradition, sometimes my tries, are outside the lines
We’ve been conditioned to not make mistakes, but I can’t live that way
Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find
Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
Natasha Bedingfield, “Unwritten”
For the past few years, I have had a moderate obsession with the year 2012. Like, it was going to be the best, most life-changing year of my life. Well, since its mind over matter (click following link proving scientific evidence to back me up)
I had to take matters into my own hands. So, I came up with a Genius idea. Not that most of my ideas aren’t genius (they aren’t) but this one’s the best one yet.
Instead of one New Year’s Resolution, I would come up with 365! (actually isn’t it 366 since it’s Leap Year?)
Here’s where I stand so far.
Jan 1 – I resolve: to relax more. (easy enough!) The couch and I had a wonderful time.
Jan 2 – I resolve to : start a blog! Now, I know what you’re thinking, I’ve already broken one! Well, you’d be correct, except that this is my SECOND blog of the new year! You can find the first one on Blogspot, http://secretsfromsilkstreet.blogspot.com/
It’s about me and my roommates. And The Bachelor. And I’m sure all sorts of other shenanigans. (Auto correct totally fixed the spelling of shenanigans for me, by the way) Soon to be a major motion picture.
And there you have it. I have two blogs. I’m really outdoing myself so far.
Jan 3 – I resolve to : Read The Lonely Planet’s website daily.
(Now coming up with funds to act on these trips I dream about…)
Jan 4 – I resolve to: drink less wine.
I waited until 12:01 before I cracked the bottle. Hey, I went a whole 24 hours. The wine gets lonely.
Jan 5. – I resolve to: become a vegetarian (or at least mostly.) Mind you I got 45! comments on my facebook status when I posted this. Like I had banned everyone from eating meat. Quite entertaining. I have no problem eating plants. I enjoy them , I’ve always been a rabbit. I want to learn more about how the body interacts with different substances, and the health benefits to eating vegetarian. I’d like to have more energy, and promote healthy hair, teeth and gums.
So anyways, I’m following through with this. I’ve done all sorts of research on it, and have a good basic idea of where to start, but I’m going to need some good recommendations and direction when it comes to what to eat.
Stay tuned for day 6, but I think it might have something to do with a juicer 😉
